THYROID GLANDS AND GOITRE
THYROID GLAND AND GOITRE
The functions of glands is to regulate different functions of the body by secreting hormones.
The thyroid gland is located at the neck, its butterfly shaped hugging the trachea. It receives instructions and signals from the pituitary gland located at the base of the scall through secretion of Thyroid Secreting Hormone TSH.
The pituitary gland receives instructions from the Hypothalamus in the Brain.
Thyroid produces Hormone T3 and T4. (This simply means, you have 3 iodines attached to an Amino acid or 4 iodines respectively)
Most abundant Hormone is T4. However its inactive. The active one is T3.
T4 has to be converted back to T3 for it to be active and this happens in the Brain (20%)or In the liver(80%). If your liver is failing, it means that recovering will be hindered.
The Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Has 2 roles
a) instruct the Thyroid to produce the Hormones T3 and T4
b) Causes and enlarged Thyroid gland.
If you have an increased TSH, you'll end up with GOITRE.
If you have an excess of T4 in your blood, a negative feedback will be sent to the Hypothalamus to stop stimulating Pituitary gland which inturn stops the Thyroid gland to secrete more hormones.
Thyroid Hormones are involved In ALL organ systems, from Breathing, digestion, reproduction, skin, special organs, etc Therefore if you have issues with your thyroid, you'll have alot of Problems eg
1. Gonads- you'll experience infertility in both men and women, issues with menstrual cycles.
2. Eyes- popping eyes
3. Skin- very bad, cracking skin
4. Brain- low IQ
5. Liver- Fatty Liver,
6. Obesity.
T3 is a catabolic Hormone and helps to break down fats. It'll break down fat stores really fast lowering your BMI. The hormone is slightly higher in fasted state.
With low levels of T3 hormones you'll experience
A) Increased weight
B) Constipation because T3 is involved in gut peristaltic movements
C) Low IQ
D) poor quality sperms
E) ovulation and infertility problems in women
Where are these hormones made from?
The Thyroid Gland only stores them. They are synthesised in the body using Amino Acid Called Tyrosine. Tyrosine comes from protein, Animal protein because plant protein do not contain a complete Amino acid profile.. Tyrosine is synthesized from another Amnino Acid called Phenylalanine (Phe), (F). Simply, when you eat meat, you digest and absorb phenylalanine which is broken down to Tyrosine.
Tyrosine + 3 iodine = T3
Tyrosine +4 iodine = T4.
For you to get Thyroid hormones you need a functioning Liver, Low insulin levels, Diet rich in iodine eg Salts, sea food, Diet rich in Animal Protein.
BONUS POINTS
"CHOLESTEROL/LIPID LOWERING DRUGS"
Drugs that reduce the liver cholesterol production are in a group called Statins e.g artovastatin, simvastatin.
This drugs are prescribed to hypertensive and diabetic patients whose cholesterol levels are "high", to help them lower it.
Men on this drugs have erectile problems. Why?
They reduce cholesterol, which is a backbone for hormone synthesis(Testosterone). All hormones in your body come from cholesterol. Once you mess with cholesterol then your hormone balance is also altered.
The drug and food industries are in business and they don't care about your health. They will keep propagating misinformation to keep you sick, weak and depressed so you can be a slave to their products.
Cholesterol is not your enemy, that's why I insist on eating eggs. Unlearn!
Fix the diet & stay away from drugs.
FUNNY FACTS
Some of the habits that will make people brand you a "mad person", poor person, stingy person, or outdated, as you take care of your health.
1. Ignore all processed foods, go for sweet potatoes and Arrow rootsand other forms of Healthy foods
2. Walk barefoot at least once a week. Grounding helps in neutralising positive charges by absorbing Negative charges from the ground. This helps to improve sleep, reduce stress, reduce pain, speed wound healing etc. People will call you a mad person.
3. Fasting. Of course, people with zero information on the benefits of fasting will think you don't have food, or you are broke.
4. Showering in cold water. Helps boost your immunity. It also helps in improving circulation and Energy levels. The worst thing you can do as a man particularly, is to shower in warm water in the name of being rich. In childhood, you used to swim like a lizard in rivers and never got sick. Pneumonia and Asthma are not caused by water. By now you already know that
5. Semen retention. Ejaculation will deprive you a lot of the energy and strength that you need so much. You can enjoy sex without ejaculating. The two are different. I'm saying this for the 400th time. The Morden woman thinks that a man hasn't enjoyed sex if they didn't enjoy the game if they ejaculate forcing them to do it all the time.
6. Not taking your spouse to those expensive joints for junk. They'll call you broke or stingy. Choose health for you and for her. Those joints will rob you of a lot of money and put your general health at stake. As a man, show leadership, tell her where to find healthy foods or cook in your house. If she doesn't want that, and is forcing you to spend on unnecessary things so as to share photos on her Instagram, drop her very fast. Choose your health.
7. If you choose not post /share photos of your wife, children, achievements, husband etc. Don't seek validation online. Dont bow to pressure of "haunipost",
SIGNS OF THYROID PROBLEMS
1. Too much fatigue, no energy and zeal for work
2. Weight gain (in Low thyroid hormones)
3. Weight loss (hyper thyroidism)
4. Infertility in both men and women
5. Cold sensitivity, feeling very sick
6. Hairloss, loss of eyebrows and eye lashes

10. Diarrhoea In hyperthyroidism.
11. Irritability- you might think its related to menopause but it's not esp in older women.
Hyperthyroidism- where the hormones are released in very high quantities. Over active thyroid gland
Hypothyroidism- the thyroid produces little hormones, not enough to perform all the functions.
Other symptoms of thyroid problems include
