THE LIVER

It's the 2nd Largest organ in the body after the skin, and you need to do everything you got to do, to protect it because it's the one to protect you from all the harm you cause yourself. 

Functions of the liver include the following
A. Protection. It synthesizes immunoglobulins that helps fight infections. 

B. Activation of Vitamin D. Remember Vitamin D is synthesised from Cholesterol and activated by UV radiation then carried all the way to the liver for more activation and finally to the kidneys for final activation. Liver takes part in that activation. 

C. Activation of Vitamin A. People with liver problems have issues with vision. 

D. Hemoglobin formation. Hb, found and transported by the Red blood cells. The liver produces a protein called transferrin that Binds to the iron and helps to carry the iron in blood 

E. Storage of Carbohydrates in form of Glucogen. Once you take any Carbohydrates, the active compound being glucose is converted into Glycogen and stored in the liver temporarily before being converted into Fats and stored in muscles and fat cells if not broken down for utilisation. 

F. Detoxification. 
Of foods, some people eat poison thinking its food. 
Of chemicals including the skin care products, drugs, and even the ones you take to commit suicide, have to go all the way to the liver. 

G. Conversion of T3 to T4. 
T3 and T4 are thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid glands. 
T4 is the inactive Form of the hormones which requires to be converted to T3 the active form for utilisation in the body. If this doesn't happen, you'll have thyroid related issues, and if that happens, you start to suffer Metabolism challenges, infertility because the Thyroid Gland takes part in all that. 

FOODS TO CLEANSE THE LIVER. 

Now, you'll know that you have a problematic liver if your diet is full of carbohydrates and less of proteins, fats and vegetables. 
Now these are the foods that will help, cleanse or detoxify that liver. 
1. Cruciferous vegetables
These includes the cabbage, kales, broccoli, spinach, red cabbage etc etc
They contain enzymes that break down estrogen (remember both males and females have estrogen, remember? Good). Once this is done, you start burning fat. Remember estrogen is the hormone that helps you accumulate fat, (these fats are deposited in bellies, man boobs, hips etc). Once you start to break estrogen down and eliminate it, you start to burn fat and lose the belly, man boobs, hips in men etc. Cruciferous vegetables also contain a chemical called Sulforaphane. This chemical has several functions in the liver such as

a). being Hepatoprotective meaning, it protects the cells of the liver. 
b). It's an antiinflammatory agent. It lowers the chances of the liver being inflamed, and reduces the occurrence of scaling and cirrhosis in future.
c) it helps in detoxification of caffeine, drugs, heavy metals and even poisons. 
Therefore, the chemical is very important (Sulforaphane).
If you want maximum benefits of these vegetables you can use the sprouts, the ones that's from brocoli, kales, spinach etc., you add them in your salad and that helps you increase the chances of that chemical. 
1)Do not overcook these vegetables. (This we know) and the reason is because you'll kill those enzymes that activates that Sulforaphane. 
2. Garlic. Its a natural antibiotic because it has high contents of Sulphur, which acts as a detox in the liver. It cuts down fats in the liver, plays an antibiotic role, it has anticancer effects, has high content of B1 for those people who are alcoholics, you can utilise garlic to start wading off the effects of addiction to alcohol. It flushes off fats from the liver. So you start getting out of your fatty liver condition. 
3. Turmeric
Now the active ingredient in turmeric is called Curcumin, its antiinflammatory, it prevents you from going into liver Cirrhosis and fibrosis and as well, cuts down fats in the liver.
4. Beetroots. 
It's antiinflammatory as well and also reduces the effects of the enzymes. Sometimes the liver produces too much enzymes and they can be toxic to the same liver

The liver uses a compound that helps detoxify all other compounds be it food, drugs, caffeine, poisons. This compound is also found in mushroom is Glutathione (if you've been following my posts, this isnt a new term, we discussed about it). Glutathione is high in Mushrooms, fermented Cabbage and avocados. (I insist, that avocados are the best fruits because they've not been adulterated unlike other mordern fruits which are GMO). So now, consumption of Avocados , fermented cabbage and mushroom will give you high content of Glutathione that will help you cleanse that liver
6. Extra Virgin Olive oil. 
You can add a spoonful of Etravirhin olive oil to your salad, which will help you reduce insulin resistance, which can increase the chances of you being insulin sensitive
It will thus get you out of the metabolic syndrome, reduce inflammation, and then get fat out of your liver.

The food industry will market only the unhealthy foods to you. The government will approve them. (By now you already know we consumed Sugar with Mercury approved By Regulating bodies eg KEBS). No one will question the consequences of the same to the people, just to mention. 
The food industry will ensure the market is flooded with Unhealthy foods which are cheap for the public. You'll go for them. 
They'll use very beautiful pictures and people to make you believe yo are safe. Infact, part of the marketing statement is usually, "Recommended by Dentists, Recommended by Dermatologists) you'll believe you are safe. 
They'll strategically place those products at the entrance of Supermarkets so that the moment you walk in, they'll be the first thing to see. Including those ones that children will cry for. Definitely not eggs. You must have seen how far they hide GHEE, and How close to the entrance, they place seedoils, as promotions. But I don't see them Sponsor Billboards for Sweetpotatoes and Eggs, or has anyone ever seen? Because such foods won't make them any money.

People will consume these PRODUCTS for sometime, develop health problems and then, That's where the Pharmaceutical companies come in. 

Your doctor will tell you, that your condition is for lifetime. While it's purely lifestyle. 
They'll even defend that lie with, the cause IS Ideopathic, and that term obviously will scare you. Meaning, it's unknown. So if the cause is unknown, what will you be treating? The symptoms?  
When you'll be told it's for lifetime, you've already become a lifetime customer for the Drug Company. 
Even after taking those drugs, you don't feel any better, they keep switching from this company to another adding the prescription. Are they for free? Definitely You pay!
